Our Mission :
Toledo Surgical Specialists, Inc. (TSSI) was formed in 2002 through the merger of five local, independent general surgery practices to more efficiently offer a wide range of surgical services to members of the community. Our highly skilled, board certified physicians and nurse practitioner, along with our well-qualified staff offer a broad range of quality, ethical, compassionate and state-of-the-art surgical care with special expertise in laparoscopic techniques, and abdominal, breast and cancer surgery.

Who we are:
TSSI physicians have been certified by The American Board of Surgery. This assures you that your surgeon has met a defined standard of education, training, and knowledge.

The American College of Surgeons admits to its Fellowship (F.A.C.S.) only those surgeons whose professional activity is devoted to surgical practice and who agree without compromise to practice by the professional and ethical standards of the College.

A nurse practitioner is a registered nurse who has completed advanced education
(a minimum of a masters degree) and training in the diagnosis and management of common medical conditions, including chronic illnesses. Nurse practitioners provide a broad range of health care services. They provide some of the same care provided by physicians and maintain close working relationships with physicians.

We believe that every patient should be as informed as possible before having surgery, so please do not hesitate to ask any questions about your care. As a referral practice, we serve as consultants to your primary care physician. We provide the surgical care you need, and your family physician provides your general health care needs.
